This year's MathCounts competition will be held Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Springhouse Middle School from about 9 AM to 3 PM.  The morning sessions will be in the gymnasium and the countdown round will be in the Auditorium.  Please see the enclosed directions to the Springhouse Middle School. Please also see the attached campus and building layout.  The school has requested that we use the parking lot and entrance in the back of the school.  This entrance gives us very convenient access to the cafeteria, auditorium and the gymnasium.

Registration begins at 8:15 AM.  I will be there early to register the school.  All competitors should arrive by 8:30 AM.  Competitors should be seated in the Auditorium by 9:00 AM for opening remarks and instructions.  The morning sessions will officially begin at 9:15 A.M. as outlined in the attached competition schedule.  Coffee, hot chocolate, water, fruit and bagels will be available for all coaches, volunteers and participants starting at 8:15.

Lunch (on your own) is scheduled from 11:45 A.M. 12:45 P.M.  MathCounts encourages everyone to bring a brown bag lunch which does not require refrigeration.  Pizza is also being provided for those who pre-ordered.  The cafeteria can be used to sit down and eat your lunch.  You may want to go to a nearby restaurant where you can buy food and bring it back for your children.

After lunch, everyone should move to the Auditorium.  The Countdown Round begins approximately at 1:00 P.M.  The Awards Presentations are scheduled for 1:30 P.M. and should conclude around 2:30 P.M.

The competition consists of four activities:
