 We made it through the first week! Everyone is doing a great job managing their time when switching classes and during break time. I hope all of my fifth and sixth graders are enjoying school so far this year and looking forward to learning a lot more throughout the year.
This week, fifth grade we will continue Chapter 1 in Religion . The students will be working on an art project to show their understanding of creation in the Genesis story. Also, Second Step will begin this week. In English, the class is working on subjects and predicates. Keep practicing! In Reading, they will be finishing their first story and beginning their first writing assignment!
In sixth grade Reading the students will continue Hatchet and hopefully begin their descriptive narratives. In English we will continue to learn about the elements of a sentence.
Our tentative schedule this week: Wednesday - Computer/Library Thursday - Art Friday - Gym
***Reminder*** Book orders are due this Friday, 09/10/10
