                GRADE 8

WELCOME BACK!!

                     I hope that you had a relaxing summer. Here we are back in the groove.

               8th Grade is an exciting and rewarding experience.  As 8th Graders, so much is expected of

              you.  You are the role models for the other students.  Also, the work is harder and there

              is more to do.  Remember that organization is important.

                  SUBJECTS

                      RELIGION - We study how the Church developed under the Apostles to the present day.

                      LITERATURE - We are exposed to many different types of stories.  We "dissect" the

                                              key elements in a story.  Our major book is Anne Frank : The Diary of  A

                                              Young Woman.

                      ENGLISH - We write different types  of essays. We will be starting our research paper

                                       in September.  Also, we will be doing a PowerPoint presentation in the future. 

                                       We, also, will be exploring the wonderful world of grammar.

                Remember, I am available if you need help in your school work.  

                Hopefully, we will have a great year.  You will be surprised how fast 8th Grade goes.
